We will work on a composition for the East Maui Watershed's native species Art Contest: Mālama Wao Akua 2016: http://eastmauiwatershed.org/event/receiving-for-malama-wao-akua-2016/ If you decide to submit an entry: Your artwork must be framed or ready to hang Entry Fee: $5 per entry for youth Receiving Days: Tuesday, August 30th 9am-6pm at the Hui Noʻeau Even if you do not submit anything you can go to the art opening: EXHIBIT OPENING IS ON SEPTEMBER 9TH at the Hui in Makawao for a night of viewing Maui Nui’s native species as depicted by local Maui artists. Learn about each species by reading the title cards and immerse yourself into Mauiʻs own unique flora and fauna, many of which only exist here and nowhere else on earth. Artwork is available for sale and a portion of sales go to EMWP to help continue to fund this exhibit. 5pm: Opening Blessing and Awards
